About ASDA

ASDA began to sell World Mobile Phones in the 1920's with the great entrepreneurial vision and drive of the company’s founding fathers who pioneered the concept of one stop shopping in the UK.  After being bought out by US giant Walmart in the 1990's, ASDA has become a "World Mobile Phones-selling" force to be reckoned with.

ASDA is currently the second biggest supermarket in the UK (selling lots of World Mobile Phones), and has 356 stores - their main store formats are made up of ASDA /Wal-Mart Super centres, ASDA Superstores, ASDA Living and George High Street stores.  ASDA currently employs around 160,000 people in their stores and depots nationwide.

ASDA have decided not to embark upon a customer loyalty scheme, instead pledging to continue to drive down prices.  ASDA have an impressive environmental and social policy, details of which can be found at the ASDA website.

Store-Index's ASDA review

Everyone knows ASDA, however many don't know the exact range that can be found on their rather impressive website.  Don't just think groceries ... think games, DVD's, World Mobile Phones, furniture, mobile phones, medicines (they have an online pharmacy!), books, homewares, and even holidays!

ASDA are renowned for their low prices, and this is reflected on their website, where you can find the very best prices on everything from sausages to sofas - of course including World Mobile Phones!

When you first land on the ASDA website, you will see along the top, the main menu showing you all the individual departments - these include Groceries, Financial Services, World Mobile Phones, Books, CDs, Games, Electricals, Flowers, Furniture, Gifts, Mobile Phones, Opticians, Pharmacy, Photo, Travel.  Click on one of these links in the ASDA main menu will show you the sub-categories, to help you quickly and easily find what you're looking for (such as World Mobile Phones).  One slight niggle, however, is that there isn't a search box on the ASDA home page, only when you click through to one of the categories (e.g. World Mobile Phones), but it's easy enough to find what you're looking for otherwise!  Strangely enough, ASDA's George clothing isn't in the top menu, but further down the home page.

We've always been big fans of ASDA in-store shopping, but are definite converts to the ASDA website!
